Week 11

By far this was my favorite week. I love advertising. I am a big sports fan but I would rather get up and go to the restroom during the game then miss a commercial. I enjoy trying to identify the target market.

Week 10

Between high school and college I had a job working in a furniture warehouse. Chapter 9 was easy for me to understand having that background. Knowing and understanding your supply chain can make or brake a business

Week 7

The concept of Intangiblity was excellent. It is easy to evaluate the quality of goods purchased and seems to be hard to evalute the quality of services.

Week 6

I really enjoyed ch 10. I consider myself to be an inventor so this was helpful to understand how someone takes and idea and hopefully turns it into a successful business.

Week 4

I learned the most from the family life cycle. "consumers are especially receptive to marketing efforts at certain points in the life cycle".

Week 5

I have to be honest about this week. It was a snoozer for me. I didn't find this chapter very interesting at all. Hard to stay awake. The only thing that really sunk in is the importance of the internet. It has become a large part of marketing.

Week 3

Maslow's Hierarchy of needs struck a cord with me. Understanding this concept is crucial having an effective marketing plan.

Week 2

I found the concept of demography every interesting. Again marketing is much more complex then I had anticipated. I was also floored by the fact that single women are the second largest group for home purchases.
